At the ESA Living Planet Symposium 2025, we are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where everyone can connect, share ideas, and make impactful contributions to our shared future. Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are core values that guide every aspect of our planning, from speaker selection and event accessibility to the themes we explore together.
🛈 Below, you can find important information about accessibility, childcare services, the prayer room, and the breastfeeding room.
We believe that a genuinely inclusive symposium fosters collaboration across a range of backgrounds, perspectives and disciplines. By prioritising DEI, we aim to reflect the rich diversity within the global geospatial and Earth observation communities and amplify the voices and talents that drive meaningful change.
At LPS25, these values are embodied through:
- Equity in Opportunity: we ensure that everyone – regardless of background, identity, or career stage – has equal access to engage, participate and make their voices heard.
- Respect and Inclusion: we strive for an atmosphere where diverse perspectives are celebrated and all participants feel respected, valued and safe.
- Empowerment through Representation: we are committed to empowering marginalised and underrepresented groups by amplifying their contributions to the Earth observation field.

The symposium is a gathering where each participant brings unique strengths, perspectives and insights that inspire innovative solutions and drive progress. We believe that when we embrace diversity, we cultivate a richer, more vibrant space for collaboration, learning and discovery.
Join us in fostering an inclusive LPS25 that reflects and respects our global community. We strive to create an environment where all participants feel respected, valued and safe. A clear Code of Conduct is in place to promote a harassment-free and respectful atmosphere for all.
