Visa application
Participants will require a visa to travel to Austria unless otherwise exempted. Visa if required must be obtained before the start of the journey. A list of the applicable visa regime and/or exemptions per country is available HERE.
Holders of service and diplomatic passports of some countries are exempted from the visa requirement in Austria. When entering the Schengen area by another state, however, the entry regulations of that state may differ and must be observed!
Participants who require a visa, should apply for their visa at the earliest convenience at the nearest Austrian Embassy or Consulate General.
Procedure to follow:
For the invitation letter request or any assistance contact only the e-mail iii6@bmk.gv.at with the following information:
- Title
- first name
- surname
- date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)
- nationality
- e-mail address
- Notification of acceptance or Registration Confirmation email at your name
- as well as the office where the visa is applied for according to the options listed in Annex 1
- Passport number and expiration date
Please do not contact the LPS Organising Committee on the matters relating the visa application.
Important: To verify eligibility, participants must present their Notification of Acceptance or other relevant documentation confirming their status as an author or speaker at the event.
Regular attendees are required to complete the registration process in advance and provide their Registration Confirmation. Registration will open by mid-April 2025.
Please note: The information, collected by BMK, will be transmitted weekly to the Federal Ministry of the Republic of Austria for European and International Affairs, which will then forward it to the competent authorities.
